  9. Unfortunately the guy who originally authored this was a bit of a 
  10. greedy or dumb bastard.   He obviously did not know we could rip
  11. apart his program and remove his lame mathbased protection scheme.

  13. But I will admit that the guy was clever enough to build one of the
  14. BEST chat modules out there.  It is for that reason I ask any sysop
  15. who chooses to make this their CHAT door of choice to send this guy
  16. some money.  He obviously put a lot of thought and debugging into
  17. making this a very stable CHAT feature.  So use the information 
  18. below and send this guy some bucks...  Hey... he deserves it for
  19. providing us with the base upon which to build a hellishly powerful
  20. CHAT function.  Send him ten... send him twenty bucks...  if for no
  21. other reason than to say that he did good work and that you want to
  22. encourage him to keep hammering away at the code.

  24. I made quite a few modifications to his code to improve on what I
  25. found were shortcomings or confusing things for the users.  I will
  26. probably continue to add more features to this code and further 
  27. tailor it to suit the evil needs of my own users.  For my efforts
  28. I seek no glory or fame... for I am The Captain - that is fame enuf.

  31. respect the work of.   Poopings go to anyone who has hacked Vig's
  32. PPE programs and tried to release it as their own - how fucking
  33. lame of you...

  36. show him that you think his concept was excellent for your board.

  39. $ 40 he wanted for it.   Send $ 10 or $ 20 and make his day !!

  48. In your letter to him - just drop him a note saying that you can't
  49. register his version cuz you prefer to use the pirated version, but
  50. you really believe he should get some money for his work.  This will
  51. let him know that his work was appreciated - and that means more to
  52. programmers than anything...
